We are a family-owned and operated cafe located in the heart of Meadowthorpe Neighborhood, just a short distance from downtown Lexington, Kentucky and the bustling Distillery District. Our space offers a warm and inviting atmosphere to sip, to study, or to socialize. We invite you to gather and get grounded with good food & good times.
Our philosophy
We believe that the good life is grounded in community & connection, that you should bloom where you are planted, and that gathering spots should be for the whole family. We love to find the good stuff, from local and afar, and bring it all together with our unique spin. We know that good food can have elevated flavor with a laid back feel and that, just like people, good ingredients can come together to make even the simplest dish something that everyone will enjoy. Most importantly, we believe that feeling grounded is all about being present and connecting to a place in time. We wanna be that place.

Good things take time...
We found the future home of Grounded All Day Cafe as we waited to move into our new home, the white house across the street, five years ago. We pondered and dreamed on the potential of the space and as we pulled away to look for a cup of coffee, it hit us. Having met at a coffee shop in 2009, we knew the magic they can bring to your neighborhood and your day. As we continued to work on the shop and interact with our new neighbors, we saw many needs that our sweet little spot could fill and continued to expand our offerings. After four years, including a pandemic and personal health obstacles, Grounded All Day Cafe finally took shape and opened it's doors.
